Company Overview

TM2Space (TakeMe2Space) is building affordable satellites and subsystems for lower earth orbit satellites, which will be used to host and validate space apps by any user globally. The team has built a proprietary method for radiation shielding which enables use of military grade components in outer space. Further, they are building software to enable on-onboard compute in space with a goal of building space based AI data centres.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Space is still largely inaccessible to people as it is still very expensive. Further, space based explorations / applications are limited by inherent challenges and inefficiencies with space information. Limited space information is useful, however that needs to be transferred to Earth for processing, leading to time/cost wastage and inefficient usage of space hardware. Ultimately, restricting our ability to leverage our resources in space fully.

investment rationalE

Large and growing market supported by regulatory tailwinds. Indian Space Economy is worth $8.4bn in 2023 and is growing at a CAGR of 48%. Augmented by government initiatives such as GST exemption, setup of nodal agencies like IN-SPACe and NSIL, and a $130M fund. Defensible IP – The team is building a strong portfolio of engineering and material science innovations such as proprietary radiation shielding and have started applying for patents. Strong foundational team – The founding team has held leadership positions, built products and exited businesses successfully. Product readiness – Majority subsystems were space proven enabling rapid product led sales.
